Dehado vs Llamado

Dehado is from the Spanish word Dejado means at a disadvantage.  Llamdo means at an advantage.

The story of Gideon (Judges 7) and 2 Corinthians 12:9 (Paul's thorn in the flesh) have one thing in common:

God wants all the glory.

Surrendering my plans to the Lord!

If you don't feel strong desires for the manifestation of the glory of God, it is not because you have drunk deeply and are satisfied. It is because you have nibbled so long at the table of the world. Your soul is stuffed with small things, and there is no room for the great.
John Piper

The world has yet to see what God can do with and for and through and in a man who is fully and wholly consecrated to Him.
Dwight L. Moody

Did Jesus and Paul preach the same thing?

Most of the new testament was written by Paul.  And it is through Paul's writing that we clearly understand that we are saved by God's grace, through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

But how come Jesus never clearly preached that message during his stay on Earth?  Did Jesus and Paul preach the same thing?

My mindset for 2015

I like making new mindsets every start of the year.  Start of the year is my clean slate, fresh start.  These mindsets are in my prayers everyday.  They align my heart and mind to God.  This coming year, these are the mindsets that I will carry.

1.)  Only Jesus will truly satisfy.

2.)  Remove all encumbrances and the sin that so easily entangles.  Run the race. (Hebrews 12:1)

3.)  Be thankful, enjoy what God has given me today.  Live in the present.  (Ecclesiastes 5:12,18-20)

4.)  Trust that God has great plans for me.  (Proverbs 3:5-6)

God Unboxed Part 2, Exodus, car battery and God’s blessing

Exodus 4:21-23
21 The LORD said to Moses, "When you return to Egypt, see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders I have given you the power to do. But I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go. 22 Then say to Pharaoh, 'This is what the LORD says: Israel is my firstborn son, 23 and I told you, "Let my son go, so he may worship me." But you refused to let him go; so I will kill your firstborn son.
